About 

The Consortium for Autoimmune Liver Diseases (CALiD) was an idea that arose from the recognition that these rare disease require collaboration to move the field forward and improve patient livers. Discussions to develop such a network in North America began in 2010. Over time the need to focus on a single disease became apparent and the decision was made to develop a clinical database of patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). In collaboration with the International PSC Study Group, a set of common data elements were developed and in 2017, the CALiD PSC Patient Registry was launched. 

​Major decisions are made by the Steering Committee with input from members and other stakeholders including industry, funding agencies, regulatory agencies, and patient advocacy groups.
