CALiD has a number of studies focusing on autoimmune liver diseases with particular emphasis on the populations of North America. The first major research project of CALiD is the development of a PSC patient database to study the clinical outcomes, variable natural history, and predictors of clinical events. In addition, CALiD members are active in a number of studies with other consortia including the International PSC Study Group (IPSCSG), the Global PBC Study Group, and the International Autoimmune Hepatitis Study Group
